How will we work together?

I am an integrative psychotherapist working with adults and couples, specialising in intergenerational and cultural trauma – the patterns, beliefs and burdens that can be passed down through families across generations.

As a therapist of colour, I understand that it may have taken a great deal to get to this point. Seeking therapy can feel unfamiliar, uncomfortable or even frightening, particularly if you grew up in an environment where emotional needs were overlooked or mental health wasn't openly discussed.

Understanding your story

At the heart of my work is a curiosity about how your past experiences continue to influence your thoughts, feelings, relationships and sense of self today.

Together, we will gently explore how your childhood experiences, family dynamics and cultural background may have shaped the way you see yourself, relate to others and navigate the world.

Often, our adult challenges arise not only from what happened to us growing up, but also from what was missing – whether that was emotional safety, validation, understanding, protection or the freedom to express ourselves authentically.

What will sessions look like?

Being an integrative psychotherapist means I tailor therapy to you, rather than expecting you to fit into one particular way of working.

Some sessions may focus on understanding recurring patterns in your relationships and emotional life. At other times, we may focus on noticing what's happening in the present, finding practical ways to manage difficult emotions or making sense of the different parts of yourself that may feel in conflict.

I also incorporate breath and body-based approaches when appropriate, as healing doesn't happen only through talking. Sometimes our bodies hold experiences, emotions and stress that words alone cannot fully access.

Therapy at your pace

Most importantly, we will work at a pace that feels right for you.

Therapy isn't about forcing change or revisiting painful experiences before you're ready. It's about creating a safe space to understand yourself more deeply, develop self-compassion and discover new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Together, we'll find an approach that feels right for you, your goals and your pace.

Let's make that 180° turnaround.
